What is the best time to visit for a safari?
June to October is the dry season highlighted in our safari guide for wildlife viewing. November to May brings wet-season green landscapes.
What should I pack for a safari?
Pack light, neutral-coloured clothing, a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, comfortable walking shoes, binoculars and a camera. A light jacket is recommended for early morning and evening game drives.
When is the Serengeti calving season?
Our calving-season itinerary focuses on January to March in the southern Serengeti. Wildlife movements are influenced by seasonal rains.
Can I be sure of seeing the Big Five?
The Big Five are lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino. Ngorongoro and Serengeti feature in our wildlife itineraries, but sightings are never guaranteed.
What accommodation options are available?
Accommodation depends on the itinerary. The four-day budget safari lists lodges or camps in Serengeti and Ngorongoro, with budget to luxury options. Check the individual journey and discuss your preference before booking.
Are meals included in a safari?
Meal inclusions are listed on each itinerary. For example, the four-day budget safari includes meals from breakfast on day one to lunch on day four, including packed lunches during game drives. Check the details of your chosen journey.
