After breakfast at your hotel in Moshi, drive to Machame Gate (1,800m). Register and begin trekking through lush rainforest alive with colobus monkeys and tropical flora, reaching Machame Camp (3,000m) after 5–6 hours.
Machame Camp (Camping)
Ascend through moorland and heath zones, passing giant lobelias and heathers. Beautiful views of Mount Meru emerge as you approach Shira Plateau (3,850m). 4–6 hours trekking.
Shira Camp (Camping)
Trek east to Lava Tower (4,600m) for lunch, then descend to Barranco Camp (3,950m). A vital “climb high, sleep low” acclimatization day lasting 6–8 hours.

Conquer the steep Barranco Wall with incredible views. Cross alpine valleys to reach Karanga Camp (3,995m). Short and scenic 3–4 hour trek.

Continue upward through barren alpine desert to Barafu Camp (4,600m), the final base before summit night. Rest early in preparation for the climb.

Wake at midnight for summit push via Stella Point (5,685m). Reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the Roof of Africa! Descend to Mweka Camp (3,100m) for rest.

Descend through the lush rainforest to Mweka Gate (1,640m). Collect your summit certificate and transfer back to your hotel for a hot shower and celebration dinner.
